In some cases, yes, in some cases, no.

If the asker is looking for information and is provided with such that is accurate and suits his/her needs, then yes.

If the asker is just whining about something and looking for somone else to share his opinion and give validation to his/her whining, then no.

Unfortunately, there's too much of the latter and not enough of the former going on here.

Since the whole point of Yahoo Answers is for the masses to help the asker find his best answer, rightly or wrongly, only the asker can know which answer best suits his purpose/needs.

Unless the asker is the decider, then logic has nothing to do with it.

I believe so. Mainly because..they may not be necessarily looking for someone to agree with them. Perhaps they are truly looking for an answer they don't yet have.

Yes if its an opinion they were after. If they truly wanted a real answer they would do their own research.

I guess it depends on the question, and whether or not they try the answer before they vote.
