Do you mean head lice? Once you egt this in your house it is VERY hard to get rid of. First of all dont freak out and just breath. I suggest using a product called Licex. Go to http://www.licex.com and read up on this as it will tell you more. It is a little pricey BUT it is the best and most effective product I have ever used and it works great! The over the counter stuff does not work near as well. Buy some combs for combing out lice in the lice sextion of your local pharmacy and they work great for the combing part and sometimes you have to pull the eggs out with your fingers. Good luck to you and I sure hope this helps some. I am here if you need to talk more about this as well. You will also need to wash and boil all hair brushes and combs that are used in the hair at homes or just throw them away and buy all new ones. You also need to wash all bedding and put it into a very hot dryer for at least 90 minutes on the hottest temp possible. Completely vaccum each rug and spray down the furniture with bedding and upholstery spray like Rid or something like that.

Did you mean HEADLICE?

If so, I can tell you that it is no easy task to get rid of them but if you are willing to go the extra mile it can be done.

First of all, you need to go to the store and purchase the medication for headlice. I suggest someplace like Walmart and buy the larger bottle because you WILL have to treat the head at least 2x. May I also suggest that you invest in the better nit comb for your own sake because they are much easier to work with.

Start by stripping all of the linens that the person may have come in contact with and washing it. The dryer is what actually kills the lice, so make sure you dry the items on HIGH for at least 20 minutes. Boil all hairbrushes and combs and hairclips in the house. Take any and all pillows, stuffed animals, hair ties or anything else that has hair or a place that the lice could be and put it inside of a trash bag closed tightly for at least 72 hours. Lice cannot survive after 48 hours without a human host.

Third, wash hair with medication as instructed and then get comfortable because the trick to truly getting rid of the infestation is to remove ALL of the eggs and the nits. The eggs, often mistaken for nits, are more of a brownish color (making them hard to see on anything but a blonde) and the nits are white. They stick very tightly on the hair shaft so you have to really work to get them off. The medication will kill the live bugs (sometimes) but unless you remove the eggs, YOU WILL get them again You need to plan on treating the head again in a week anyway.

My personal experience in this battle was awful but I have found that what worked best for my family was when I finished picking through the hair and removing as many eggs and nits as I possibly could, I totally greased my daughters head with hair grease ( you can use any kind of grease like cooking oil or baby oil or whatever) and then i wrapped her head in a hair bag and left it greased for 2 days. Yes, we had to wash her hair a couple of times to get rid of the grease but anything is better than bugs! :) This will totally smother any remaining bugs/eggs/nits and will also make it impossible for the eggs or nits to adhere to the hair shaft so ...bye bye bugs!

It may sound extreme but last year I spent about 200 dollars and a lot of aggravation on my family's heads before I finally got rid of it for good. Now when I see my child even scratch her head more than once, I grease her head overnight and we have never had another problem.

Good luck! It isn't easy but with this information, it will be a lot easier for you!

What's "headice"? DO you mean "head lice"? Head lice are nasty critters that get in your hair and scalp.

my daughter got head lice years ago..with her mid back hair this was a nightmare..apparently a friend of hers was infected and we didnt know..she slept over and they shared pillows so Im guessing thats how my daughter picked them up.

There are good shampoos to get the lice and nits (eggs) out but its a lot of work..and leaves the hair almost damaged...not sure what else u might want to know..I used NIx..oh and make to wash all bed linings, blankets, pillows and hairbrushes and combs.
