manly because who people r when they r young isnt who they will become when they grow up. therefore even if you think ur in love chances are in a yr or 2 you wont be therefore it isnt in love just merely loving the person. once u experience being "IN LOVE" you will understand what i am saying. also young people arent equped to handle a "IN LOVE" relationship it hurts and its painful and takes so much work. but the joyous times are worth it

Because love changes, when you have been married 20 or 30 years. Real young people haven't been alive long enough, to be married that long.
But it is incorrect that young people can't be in love. They are in love as love is at their age, just like older people were when they were young. And when they are older, 20-30 years from now, it will be different then.
Adults who say that, they shouldn't. They just forget what being young was like. I am 51 but I did not forget.

Its a shame that people day that.
Its just beacsue when you are young, you ca feel like you are in love but sometimes it is just an infatuation and you sometimes dont know the difference. I was the same as you when I was young, but now I know that my first 'love' wasnt actually a love at all.
People change a lot as the grow older and unfortunately when they change they can grow apart, thats why people think that young love does not last.

People can be in love at any age. It's just that young people mistake liking someone or infatuation as love. As you get a little older you will realize what love really is and then you can say you were in love or you were not. Young people, please don't say we're stupid. You will see what we are talking about when you get a little older. Right now most of you are experimenting with relationships.

I'm 18 so would i be considered an adult in this situation?and if not there saying that with care and love trying to protect so u won't end up getting hurt or loosing your virginity 2 sum bastard that was just using u and ends up going with your mom or sum slutt who cheats on u with her brother

you can be in love but when it comes to marriage..even adults can't handle marriage. most people do not come into their intellectial understanding until they are 40. It takes alot more than love to make a marriage work and most people don't have a clue until they understand themselves first.

1) Young are more " implsive "
2) Adults, specialy our parents get "protective" ( over protective) when they say so.

because as you mature, you realize that what you thought was love at a tender age was just lust. every experience is so new that you are convinced that you love that person, but you really do learn the difference in time.

because they are stupid. and if they are your parents, they just dont want to accept the fact that you are. if you know you're in love-screw them, dont worry about it. they are just upset that you are "growing up" dont worry about what they say--they jus think they know everything about young love...
