okay, i am 33 weeks pregnant and last night i seen that there was liquid in my bellybutton. my bellybutton isnt popping out yet, its just kind of disappeared.anyways, there is liquid in it and i took a q tip and gently tried to swab it out, when i looked at the q tip there was a small amount of blood on it. later that night, i was looking at my bellybutton again and there was like, a crust where the liquid was, so i got the crusty stuff out and there was still more liquid. there is still liquid in it this morning and all night and still, my bellybutton is very sore, that is what made me check it out in the first place. should i call my doctor? has this happened to anyone else?

It would be best if you saw a dermatologist because this could be a fungus overgrowth or even Bacteria. When fungus invades this area that is moist (perfect fungus area), it does make the area red and swollen and it may itch as well. It is quite possible that you have been Itching while you were sleeping and made a scratch that bled. It is important to have this checked and get a proper diagnosis, so you could treat it right. Bacteria can make similar mess. Also note that these symptoms are normally accompanied with a foul odder coming from the belly button

Did you have your belly button pierced?Maybe your skin is stretching so much it's causing the hole to tear. I had mine pierced with my first 2 pregnancies but that never happened to me. I could be totally wrong but that's all I can think of.

yeah you shgould check it out with your doctor maybe it is irritated from your growing belly or something, maybe it is just sweat and the blood came from you messing with it, just ask your doctor it does not sound serious, or it could be a hernia is it hard?

Any sign of blood would take me to the doc.. go and check it out.. better to be save than sorry;)

Have you had your gall bladder removed? Mine still sometimes leaks from that and that was 6 years ago.

My 14 yr old BOY cousin said you better call a plumber or please seek medical attention as soon possible. That is NOT normal during pregnancy!!
