Not best or most skilled but you favorite, and why?

I'd say Justin Chancellor of Tool, hes got a great tone and style and I love playing his bass lines.

Wow, you men are amazing :] tbh i presumed this thread (being in rock and pa) could be packed with extremely cheesy mainstream bassists, in spite of if it somewhat is an extremely advantageous record. My best concept as a bassist is John Myung from Dream Theater. He inspired me to purchase my first 6 string bass and that i've got stepped forward so some distance provided that then. different gamers i admire incorporate: Marcus Miller Steve Baily <- fav fretless participant by using some distance Michael Lepond Martin Mendez Tony Levin <- one among my fav stick gamers :D

Randy Meisner of the Ealges. He just knows the right notes to play and lets the bass do the talking in the songs.

Victor Wooten tears it up by keeping the notes low but also mixing in the slapping styles and variety.
