you can get a reduction on international calls from bt. you need to contact them for current deals

With B.T I have no idea, but if you have a landline in Spain you can ask Telefonica for their plan called Internacional 15 which is cheap. You pay 10€ a month and you can call 15 minutes every night to some countries in Europe (including UK). Times are after 8pm till 8am Mon to Friday and all day Sat / Sun and festive days. Totally worth every penny if you ring the UK alot. I did it when I returned to the UK for a while and my daughter was able to keep in touch regularly without it costing a fortune. If you go over the 15 minutes time limit no worries but then you start paying normal rates!!

Nope, as you're making the calls from Spain you'll be using the Spanish telephone company for making your calls.

Get yourself a phone card they will get you really cheap calls from spain to the UK.

Easiest way is to use phone cards. You can get pretty good rates. Skype is possible, but high-speed/high bandwidth interest is not as readily available in Europe.

No. But you could try Skype Internet phone, then I don't think it matters where you are in the world.
