In the Bible there are only 3 named Angels
Gabriel
Micheal
Raphael
It was not until the Renaissance that angels began to be depicted in pictures as females, most notably by Michelangelo (Micheal the angel)
I don't know of any angels in the qur'an

Well, in Christianity the Christian god created the 7 orders of angels but only about 2 or 3 exist in modern times.

the myth of Angels dates back to AT LEAST the high Middle Ages (8th-9th century). there was this pope who was referring to the people of Juteland who were going to Britain and he said they looked like Angels! and that's how the name 'Anglos' come from! cool huh? I'm french, but feel free to revel in historic pride id you're english ;)

If your talking about Islam then Allah but they have much more importance in the Quaran and have specific tasks like one who creats earthquakes etc.I am no expert but am christian living in moslem country.

big question? if what they say is true we are all made from energy and when our physical body dies are energy (or spirit body) carries on , on a level not seen by human eyes(deep huh!) so in fact we become angels(spirits) so in fact the answer is ourselves.the human spirit or energy is eternal no one made them energy has always existed in some form or another. hmmmm!!!!!
