No law against it but you open yourself to people who want money and will do anything to get it. My second answer is you can have large sums of money as long as it isn't laced with cocaine or some other illegal drug.

It's not illegal. It's just not advisable. You can borrow a book from the library on investing. A few good books are "Rich Dad Poor Dad", "Cash Flow Quadrant", or anything by Donald Trump would be good.
