Getting around school or workplace Internet filtering systems is a violation of school computer usage policy. You can get suspended and/or banned from using school computers or fired from your job. Use school or company computers for school or work related tasks and your personal e-mail IM'ing and myspace can wait until you get home. You probably don't want to let your teachers and school administrators or your boss to see your personal data anyway.

You can't enter your own IP address, it is assigned to you.

There are two ways... the first of which is getting a proxy server somewhere and using that to hide your IP (if you get banned again on that proxy server, however, you're done).

First, try this: http://www.boxofprox.com/ if that lets you get back on the site, you're set... remember that if it is your ACCOUNT that's banned, you may need to make a new one, proxy or no.

then, you can set your PC to use a proxy listed here:
Here's a site that lists updated open proxy servers: http://www.digitalcybersoft.com/ProxyList/fresh-proxy-list.shtml

Clean your cookies out before you try a proxy, the site may look for cookies.

If it is account based banning, you have to make a new account, there's no other way short of hacking.

The second way to get around a ban is to simply use another computer that is on a different connection... this is the easiest one to do...

the reason that websites are ban is so that only the sites that are allowed are safe to use, be it the school system or your home computer,, this is to stop computers getting viruses and all the other rubbish downloaded on to it,

web sites like livewire, and myspace are very dangerous to use but you kids think you know better

What kind of ban was is it, an ip ban? if so you can use a webproxy to bypass the ban.

There's prolly a good reason for you to be banned, if so, you will prolly get banned again. :/
