I am 7 days late for my period, took a clearblueeasy digital test and to my elation it said POSITVE!! Woohoo! I go out tell all my friends and family we're pregnant, only to get a blood test the same day that said not pregnant! Took two more hpt that said negative, still no period. Going to the Doctor Monday, but was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced this? I'm an emotional wreck right now....Am I pregnant or not???? Help...

False positives are rare, but they do occur. A blood test is much more accurate than a urine test, so I would go by the blood test. I really don't think you are pregnant, sorry.

To my knowledge, false positives on HPTs are extreamely rare. More common are false negatives.

Was the test done and read correctly (in the correct time frame, etc)? Sometime evaporation lines can be mistaken as positives when the test is read hours after the instructed time. Did the control window come up properly? Was the test expired? Any of these situations could cause doubt about the test result.

If the test was done correctly and not expired, then it's more possible that you had an early miscarriage.
