Yes they are parasites, anyone who buys hello and all that stuff need to get a life of their own.

Celebrities create a lot of work for people who work in the media, also the hotel trade, and car hire companies. So they are often talentless, but, not parasites.

Interesting question but no as the definition of a Parasite is:
An organism that lives in or on the living tissue of a host organism at the expense of that host.
They may live at our expense but they don't feed off our living tissue... usually.
