The stone is pink with other colors....it has brighter pink, green, yellow, orange mostly....very rarely do I see blue or purple. Can anyone tell me what this might be? It is set in 10K gold with small diamonds on the side so I'm hoping it is a good stone! Thanks!

Hey! I know it's not an opal....this stone is clear. Opals are usually not clear. I should have added this detail...Thanks!

I'm going to have to lean towards a CZ. While there are stones that are multiple colors, such as ametrine (purple and yellow), watermelon tourmaline (pink and green), or alexandrite (blue and red), I'm not familiar with anything that has that many colors. Still, get it appraised to be sure.

If you really want to find out what the stone is contact any local jewelry store. They should be able to tell you or at least be able to give you some advice as to where to go to find the answer.

You might also want to have them do an appraisal on the entire ring and then you'd know what the stone is and what it is worth along with the other diamonds.

I'd check on www.starstrings.com It is a jewelry store (she actually has a bunch of cool jewelry and many of the strings she uses are from famous musicians like the guys from U2) but she also has a pretty big section on stones and their meaning/origin/use/power.
