Music Videos and Movie Trailers are so much better than regular videos posted to youtube or google video. What format is it?

Depends on the site, some use quicktime in a high file size, some use windows media player wmv format with a high bit rate....depends on the site and bandwidth they are willing to use for it.

Depends on the file: it could be almost anything
Often it is as an SWF file, but sometimes it is as a file like MOV or mpeg.
The legally downloadable ones are available at movie sites like joblo.com on the previews/promo pages
