I have scheduled an appt to have the dr check this out and do all of my yearly exams that I haven't kept up on. Is the change in breast size a concern? Also getting my exams in very painful as i have scar tissue built up from years of sexual abuse. One of my pastors has offered to go with me to the dr. Is it okay for her to go in the exam with me since I am so scared of the pain and hearing the results? Or should I just have her wait in the waiting room?

You may have whomever you want in the room with you.
A change in size is of concern.
I am sorry to hear about the abuse.
Good luck.

I had the same problem. At the begginig it was only one. I wauted almost a year and I finally went to the doc when I found out there were three. U should go to the doc, u never know what it could be. Thankfully mine were nothing bad. I had them removed by surgery abou one month ago. The were not cancer, they were made of fatty tissue stored in my breast. U don't know if ur could be like mine too. For ur health I recomend u see a doctor.

It's a blessing to have support. But you should go in the exam room alone. You are the one that has to deal with any issue of your body first. It's your body and you shouldn't have any opinions thrown in at the time of your results. I know it can be scary and hard, but it's best to deal with yourself first, and then allow others to get involved. You'll have her support when you come out of the exam room. I had the same situation happen with me and I felt better cause I took control, my attitude gained more confidence to deal with the matter if the outcome was bad or good.

Look I am your age and that happened to me! It was congested breast, air pockets in there, lots of caffeine will cause the lumps, and smoking. WIth it being there you tend to touch it alot and see if its still there and that makes it tender. I would go to the doctor to be sure but don't get too worried just yet ok.

Do you care if she sees while the doctor is examining you? The doctor will ask you that, before allowing her to stay or telling her to go.

Now, the breast size is not as worrisome as the lump. Go on, have your checkup and do whatever the doctor tells you...
