Well, firstly, they're obviously both tragedies by Shakespeare.

Also, in both of them, the main characters' life is ruined by their family - in "R&J", by the hatred their respective families for each other. In "Hamlet", Hamlet's uncle murders Hamlet's father and marries Hamlet's mother, and Hamlet's life is then consumed by the desire to avenge his brother - which ultimately leads to his death.

They are not!!!!! Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet both are written by Shakesphere and in Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet love each other and in Hamlet Hamlet is basically a depressed ocd freak.
