Yes.....Please look at the past few years.I really don't see the White Sox having a major push this year and can Detriot really muster up another year like last year?Youth is on the Tribe's side this time.Pitching will be the issue if any. They need to lockdown
one more starting pitcher to get over the hump. They will win the Central this year and Sizemore will be the league MVP.They need to have a winning April .That is where they seem to fall short
if you are looking at the big picture.Come on,Wedge!!

They will if they move them to the NL Central. They have a good solid ballclub, but the AL's version of the Central division is loaded, even Kansas City is showing signs of a real MLB team for a change. With Detroit, Minnesota and the ChiSox in the division, fourth place isn't all that discouraging. Detroit was in the World Series last year, the ChiSox the year before that. I hate to say this because Cleveland is great to watcy, but I think Cleveland will be one of four 90-win teams in the AL Central, but wont be in the playoffs. But with their pitching and great offense, if they get in the playoffs, they could be very dangerous.

This is one of the most popular questions in the department. Everyone knows who the contenders are. We have Yankees, BoSox, White Sox, Detroit, and the Angles. Next part is who is going to challenge these teams. We have Blue Jays, Indians, Twins and a small challegne from A's or Rangers if SP holds up. We all should agree that Baltimore, D'Rays,KC, and Seattle has to have something short of a miracle to challenge the above teams.
The National league top teams are the Mets,Phillies, Braves,Cards,Cubs,Padres, and Dodgers. The pretenders will be Reds,Astros,Giants, and maybe Marlins 'cause the kids just don't relize that they are not that good, just excited. Which means,Pittsburgh,Milwaukee,Col... and d'Backs are just hanging around waiting for the games to begin.
The Yanks will beat out Red sox, Detroit will win w/ White sox and Twins right behind them and Angles will dominate the west. Wild card should be Boston.
Mets will hold of the Phillies w/ braves a very close 3rd. Cubs will beat out Cards w/ 2 of the smartest managers today. Astros and reds will make it interesting till Sept. San Diego will win the west w/ dodgers in 2nd by 6 games. Wild card will be Phillies. They have the SP with SBs and power over the Cards who will collaspe in Sept. caused by injuries. The American League will be represented by Detroit again. they have well balanced team w/ SP, bullpen, power, And a good manager. Their collapse in the WS will motivate them.
My National team will be... (and this hurts) .. Chicago Cubs. They brought in the right people in the right places.
World series winner is the cubs,,, Hex is over.

They most certainly have a real chance of it.
I respect what they have done during the winter, and as a Tiger fan I am a little worried that they could very well de-throne My Boys as American League Champions.
You must also be aware that The Twins will be in the mix as well.
(even with Liriano & Radke The Twins still find ways to win. That is why ozzie calls them "piranhas" because he is scared of them).
I look forward to a very interesting competive 3 way race for the AL Central Division title between The Twins, The Indians, and The Tigers.

No. They weren't predicted to end above 4th place by using many, many, a lot of human beings. they have had a warm initiate in spite of if it has to proceed which it won't. purely simply by fact a set gets off to a warm initiate in April does not advise that they are valid playoff/international sequence contenders. they simply are not that good. basically an Indians fan might have self assurance that they are playoff/international sequence contenders. WTF do i be responsive to? i be responsive to it somewhat is April and branch's are not gained in April nor are pennant races even going outstanding now. Come confer with me in August and we will see how the Indians are doing, I assure they gained't be in rivalry simply by fact they don't seem to be that good, massive deal they have been given Sizemore back, he's a .270 hitter, the Indians have not something to maintain them interior the pennant race. massive deal they have have been given good beginning pitching and function an excellent bullpen to date, do not anticipate it to proceed however. it somewhat is the 0.33 week of the season and that i've got seen communities have warm April's basically to crumble and the Indians at the instant are not any diverse.

You know they actually have a decent shot. With CC, Sowers, Westbrook and Lee in their pitching staff that is pretty solid and you can't argue with Hafner, Sizemore and Martinez. Then you have some great young talent in Peralta, Barfield, Garko. Then some older role player in Nixon.
I actually think Detroit was a fluke and I dont like them at all, and the twins without and Liriano and Radke could be in trouble. Then you have Chicago decent pitching and good hitting I think this probably might be the most interesting race to watch. If everything comes together for the Tribe I think this could be there year and if not it is coming soon!
My prediction
Tribe
Sox
Tigers
Twins

It's going to be tough ... They are in the best division in baseball and have to contend with the White Sox, Indians and Tigers. The Indians will need their starting pitching to really come through for them, in particular C.C. Sabathia and Cliff Lee. They need to keep Travis Hafner healthy and Grady Sizemore to continue to develop into the superstar that he is (Peter Gammons on ESPN predicts he will be the AL MVP this year).
It will be interesting to see how it plays out, but I think they definitley have the talent to do it.

Yes they are very deep and talented. Peralta will havea great year 2 rebound from last but his defense will still be Mediocre. SIZEMORE top ten player in the league. very strong rotation if CC can stay healthy. Garko will emerge. I like what they got going on Barfield was a still
