iPods can only be synced with iTunes, which many people gripe about. You can therefore choose whether to download music from iTunes (and pay for it), or just transfer your existing music library into iTunes, which converts them from MP3 or WMA or whatever they were, to AAC. So, you can download music from anywhere, then convert it and sync it to your iPod with iTunes.

No. You can load all your CDs as well as any MP3s you get from somewhere else.

But you probably need to use iTunes to load them into your iPod. iTunes is free and can work without using the iTunes Music Store.

if u can get around making it look like u paid for it then no u dont. all the music u download from limewire or bearshare or whatever is in ur library on ur ocmputer for window media should automatically transfer to itunes that way it looks like you paid for it.

you put the music onto your Ipod using itunes but you don't have to buy them from there

No. You do have to use there software to transfer an mp3 file to the ipod. You can use any mp3 song.

you have to use itunes to transfer songs to your ipod but you don't have to buy the songs from them you can add songs to the library using one of your own cd's
