Go to your nearest Bridal Store . They are very helpful . Somewhat costly , but they also do alterations if needed . They're very friendly and you even have someone there that is your guide to help you out .
Plus they even find out if your school you go to has anyone else wearing that same gown .(that's the new thing ) .
They all work together around here as far as the Bridal Store goes . Most people around here go the Bridal Store .
I think you would be happy going to one . They let you try Jewerly and Earrings on , high heals just to see how you look . and NO you do not have to buy there jewerly.

Well, depends on your money! I have had GREAT luck in finding one of a kind very nice dresses from a consignment shop or resale store. It's the best place to start and buy... and If by chance you find another dress that 'you just gotta have' then by all means go for it!
