Do you think he is being sacrificed like a Republican scapegoat?

TIt's going to be Nixon all over again. He chose Ford to be his Vice President. When he resigned, Ford pardoned him. The same thing is going to happen to ol' Scooter. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg. We'll never know the rest.

I'm a Democrat Liberal - but this is how I feel -
Libby was not convicted of leaking info, but for lying. It would only be fair for Clinton to have had the same fate. Both lied. It's not right (even though a bj is a lot less damaging to the country than divulging CIA operatives). Libby is most definately a scapegoat - sacraficed by the Rove/Cheney machine. Rove is the central nerve system to the Republican party. Cheney is the enforcer. Some may try to dig a little deeper but ultimately the sacrafice has been made. It will be interesting to see if Bush gives him a pardon.

Orders to do what? To fail to recall conversations from years ago concerning an unimportant CIA employee who wasn't covered under the law protecting covert agents, and who Libby didn't "out" anyway. Yeah, way to follow orders!

Who gave the orders to the prosecutor to hold such a kangaroo court, that's what I'd like to know.

Pitiful how many people DON'T bother to find out the facts of this case.

I think Dick Cheney is in BIG trouble, and to think this stupidity started with an article in the New York Times. You would think that all political administrations would expect scrutiny from the press and just ignore it! Yikes!

Was President Bush privy to all this? I don't know.

Am I disappointed in his administration? You bet.

Does it make me want vote Democrat in the next election? Sorry, I am just not that pitifully self-loathing yet.
