Reflector can mean several thing eg. mirror or a neutron reflector.
A neutron reflector layer is the closest layer surrounding the fissile material for expelling neutrons to initiate the fission process.

In lifts, so when you are getting in the door doesn't shut on you.

They can also be used to shield things from radiatative heat.
