Too funny! My husband has never done that, however, I still feel like I need to go home and tell him not to.
Next time, put your bathing suits on and have a foam party! LOL

White distilled vinegar is the cheapest thing to get rid of the soap suds. It will get rid of any soapy residue. I think you should get a bunch of towels and be prepared to throw the towels into the laundry after you sop up the water. Tell your parents you thought you'd be nice and do laundry for them. :) Used towels like the ones you use after your shower and are now in the hamper will work wonders. Hope this helps. :) Good luck.

HAHAHA my cousin did something similar to this. (she used to live with me at my parent's house when we were little) She put dish soap in the clothes washer.. then we left for church..... There were suds all over the house when we got home. any room that didnt have a door had suds in it somewhere. It was amazing to see my mom's reaction! She was laughing too hard to be mad.
Buy your wife flowers. Tell her you were just trying to help..

Heh - I did that same thing when we first got one - apart from the cleaning up bit afterwards, it looks funny as when suds are pouring out of every crack, and the dishes were spotless.....Maybe it's a man thing - Helping usually ends up causing more work........

It does not prove that Women are brainier than Men, it just proves that you should not be let loose with household appliances.

No way, won't do the machine any good. You need the proper tablets and dishwasher salt
