This may sound crazy but it works. Take out the drain cover, it should just pop out, drop 2 alka seltz tablets in the drain followed by a cup of white vingar. wait a few minutes then run hot water , it really workeds.

As someone who donated a 16" long ponytail to Locks of Love, this was a more frequent occurrence for me than I'd care to admit. There's a screw in the middle of the cover for the drain. Unscrew it (I just left mine loose since it fit in the hole and stayed without the screw) and stretch a coat hanger out to it's full length. Squeeze the hook to about 5/8" wide and start sticking it in the drain and turning it at the same time. You're not fishing for a little dab here and there, you want the thing about 5" long or more. Plan to spend about 20 to 30 minutes on it but then it'll work like new. From your avatar, I'll guess this isn't your hair and, for that, I'm sorry.

I'd have to recommend muriatic acid (hydrocloric). The stuff they sell around here is about 10% but it eats right through any gunk in the drain. Just be sure to ventilate the place well and give it a couple minutes to eat through stuff before rinsing with water.

Just twist the drain pop-up off or however you remove it and pull out the 'stuff' with a coat hanger and paper towel. Probably a lot of hair. If you can't figure out how to remove it call a plumber and ask over the phone.

I recommend either Liquid Plummer Gel or Draino Gel, follow directions on the lable. The gels cling to the clog better
