This is the wrong place and the wrong way to ask. You really don't need to know what Yahoo! Answers users think; you want to know what your customers think. So create several color palettes and show them to a hundred or so of your prospective customers. This should give you enough feedback to make a decision.

That's probably a matter of a opinion, and a lot may depend on where you live and what type of food you'll be catering. Ethnic cuisine usually has colors associated with it, e.g., Mexican, Italian, etc. If you're just looking for a general appealing color scheme, right now I really favor a color scheme based on the southwest desert, colors like pumpkin, sand, red earth.
