you can definety do .But in order to install on another computer you should only copy the setup files. If you simply copy the files of installed programs and pasted to another computer via CD. It wont work because of a thing called registries
so if you want to copy a file which could be installed on another computer try copying only setup files of that program
The best site for free downloads In my opinion is the
Http://katz.ws . Because it will give u the latest and cracked versions of all programs

Hello. I would think yes you could put it onto a disk and then drag-n-drop it onto another computer... assuming both use the same operating system (i.e. OS... XP etc.). After making the transfer, click on it to have it run for installation. You may want to get you a decent inexpensive flash drive (say 32mb or 64mb etc.) so you can store apps and the like on it to use on another computer. Make sure things are right for your OS and the OS for the transfer site. It's a good thing to have a "My Downloads" file so you know where your downloads are. Good luck.

For Windows XP you could use a product like Acronis True Image to take a "snapshot" of your hard drive (including all installed programs), copy that snapshot to an external hard drive, and then boot the new computer using the Acronis CD, and restore the snapshot to that new computer.
After that, you'll want to perform what's called a "repair install" for Windows XP on the new computer. See the link below. This will help reconfigure Windows XP so that it can properly interact with the new hardware.

Very rarely can you copy a program to disk and install on another machine. Mostly those are utilities and not full blown applications such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
You may find sites online where you can download them for free, but it's illegal and you can be fined and/or serve time in prison is caught.

WindowsXP is not something you can just transfer. It's what runs your computer. If your friend needs the software then they need to obtain it legally (unfortunately) else they will not get any updates from Microsoft.
Soulseek on the other had you can, its a download-able program from http://www.slsknet.org/download.html

I doubt there are still pirate websites; those warez sites now end up being no more than criss-cross links to each other with badly written popups.
You could get real trouble if you got caught trade pirated software, I think the real pirators used P2P software to go underground.
