Well Walt Disney was the first to make feature length animated movies. Before that cartoons were only short and made for TV. Disney's Snow White was the first feature length animated movie to win an Academy Award. Were it not for Disney we may not be watching movies like Shrek, The Incredibles, Beauty and the Beast, Finding Nemo etc etc etc.

I won't say he made good movies for kids. He made movies he wanted to make, good bad or otherwise. And his company was a major influence on whoever saw them. There are subliminal and blatent messages in all disney work. The idea of life and death are dealt with in almost every one of his major movies, from Bambi's mom dying from a hunter's bullet to cruella deville wanting to sking puppies to make a coat to the live action ones that held up to the concepts of the good guys wearing white.
Also the artists in the animation dept. always put in sneaky little things in every disney movie; partly out of boredom and partly out of seeing if they could get away with it. And none of their additions were a true part of the scripts. It has been proven that subliminal messaging has a major effect on our minds. Thus, we have basically become even slightly warped by disney studios. The violence in most of the animated movies are on par with some of the horror of the time.

He invented the first techni color cartoon & movie (snow white) in which he was an oscar for & 7 mini ones =)

he wasn't really. most disney movies have some very bad stuff hidden in them. i mean i know he's dead, but he was very perverted.
