I think he is exaggerating his injury so it looks like a remarkable come back. He barely hurt his shoulder and shouldn't be out more then a couple weeks.

D-Fake is definitely a drama queen. He likes to hear the fans when they think he's had this dramatic comeback from all odds. He sees the Heat at the bottom of the Leastern Conference and he's giving his team excuses.

Oh, they're doing better now. I think I can rehab the shoulder. I guarantee if the Heat drop back down to eighth or ninth in the standings, there will be an announcement that Wade will undergo surgery or some BS like that.

He didn't separate his shoulder people. He dislocated it. There's a huge difference. Martell Webster separated his shoulder. I didn't see him crying.

Obviously half of the answers here have never played sports and don't understand basketball. Do you even know what basketball is and who Dwayne Wade is? The question should not even be asked in the first place. The player does not make the choice whether he will play or not. He is payed to play and if the doctor clears him he plays. There is no fake injuries in the NBA, as there is way to much money involved. They do take extra time sometimes as to make sure that they come back 100%. Wade could easily say he is done for the season, have surgery, and go on vacation as his team is struggling. Drama is the Media not the players.

Like one of the previous posters alluding to, Wade's image isn't one of a whiner or prima donna, his image is of a tough guard that takes a ton of punishment and keeps coming. People forget he played the entire playoff season, the World Basketball championships, then had to support his team while Shaq was gone. There is only so much you can put your body through without rest before it breaks down at that level of play, especially with his size and playing style. His body just has had enough and he needs the rest other players that don't get selected to national teams or who don't play deep into the playoffs get. I'm not a Miami Heat fan, but most commentators have pointed out the fact that his injury is the reason many GMs don't want their players playing during the offseason, because they're fatigued or hurt or getting hurt, like Lebron, Pau Gasol, and Wade.

I think we should give Dwayne Wade a little credit. If you remember, a couple years ago, Derek Jeter had the same injury, and he was out for about a month and a half. He may have exaggerated it a little bit, with the wheelchair and everything, but he was definitely hurt.

professional athletes are used to getting their butts kicked. They are constantly dealing with little nagging injuries that would make most people take off from a normal job. If he was hurt badly enough to make him cry, then he is hurt. The guy was the MVP of the finals last year. You don't get to that point by having the mentality to sit out... Let me go on record to say that as a Wizards' fan, I HATE the Heat, but Wade is a great player who would not milk an injury!

My opinion, I think he's resting. I think he is worn down from a long season of carrying the Heat and he needs the rest. With Shaq back I think they are pretty sure they can get in the Playoffs and want him well rested for the championship run. The wheel chair thing was kinda over the top. Whats next, getting air lifted for a jammed finger. And the Oscar goes to!!!!!!

He's really hurt but he is also the biggest primadonna in the league. What other player (NBA or WNBA) would need a wheelchair to get wheeled off for a seperated shoulder?

in my opinion, i think that riley knows is team is made up of mostly older players. they can't deal with the rigors of a full season. those legs are too old. because of this, he rested most of them in the first half of the season while wade held down the fort. now that it is getting to crunch time, he is getting those old horses ready to run and resting his thoroughbred. very good coaching strategy as the eastern conference is weak enough to pull it off. at any rate, they're the team to beat right now because of this masterfulness. big ups to riley who himself even took a break to stay fresh and hungry.
