Not really. Your resume will be one of dozens they receive, and they will be opened by staff, then distributed in groups or piles. It is unlikely that the ultimate hiring manager will initially open your resume.

Also - resumes are routinely copied or scanned for distribution. So, I don't recommend any fancy paper or anything, either. Most people reviewing your resume won't have the original in their hands.

What you should do is make your resume visually distinct, clean, clear and - most importantly - to the point. Reviewers have dozens to get through, and they don't want to read a novel. They're looking for a few key words and if they can't find them fast, or if your resume is just too dense or hard to read, into the "No" pile you go.

It shouldn't matter. Stop worrying about the paper and envelopes and focus on the actual content of your CV - make sure it's got what they are looking for and it stands out. Whether it is folded or not will make no difference.
