My daughter has a little bunny that has teething rings for the hands and feet, I picked her up from daycare yesterday and it was covered in peas from her lunch. I took it home to wash it, and read the care directions on the tag, it said not to immerse it in water. So I "spot washed" it as best I could with some organic non toxic baby detergent. It took me about a half an hour, and is still air drying as we speak. How do you wash your childrens soft toys?

The tags are telling fibs!! I wash all of my childrens toys unless theirs a voice box or battery in it somewhere. I put them in an pillowcase, tie the end and put on a 40 degree wash with low spin....never lost a furry friend yet. (Done it with a bunny too with teething bits on it).

Most toys have a lot of features or gadgets that make each toys very interactive.

But 90% of the companies use the same methods to manufacturer toys they use fillers and mainly sponges stuffed toys.

That's why you should never immerse it in water as you know "Sponge" retains water and produce mold and that's where their not safe. actually toys should be replace every 4 to 8 month

Pampers have a product called "Spray 'n Clean" is the best thing to use and clean any kind of toys or surface it's organic and very safe.

Happy Cleaning

I think the reason manufacturers make toys that can't be washed in the washing machine is because who ever designed the toy doesn't have kids of their own. I wash all my daughter's toys (as long as they don't have a battery pack) in a pillow case in the washing machine. I haven't ruined one yet.

Obviously it was a man who invented this toy! Just kidding! I usually just throw it in the machine, i don't read the wash label. It shouldn't hurt anything and if it does you can always get a new one!

I wash them anyway. Just wash in cold on a delicate cycle. I have not wrecked anything yet and my oldest is 2!
