If it is indigestion, it means your body is processing food too slowly. Try not to eat after dinner, if you do make sure you eat light. Grease, dairy, or lots of carbs will stay in your stomach if you eat them once you've settled down for the night. If you exercise, this will help your digestion, also make sure to eat lots of greens and fiber. If this has been going on for weeks, it could be a sign of something worse like a blockage in your intestine, which is very serious - talk to your doctor.

Seeing a Dr may help but you need to have the information they need to properly diagnose. Sit and write every food and beverage you have eaten/drank over the past few weeks that you can remember and where you ate it (home, restaurant, office, school, etc.) Next have a list of remedies you have used to treat this yourself (alka seltzer, tums, pepto, etc). Your sleep patterns and how often it acts up as well as what time of day it is the worst. All of this information will help your Dr to understand the possible culprit(s). Simple answer could be a type of food allergy or diet modification - complicated answer could mean surgery. Be honest with your Dr and provide as much information as you can so if there is a food borne illness (like ecoli) and you have eaten at a suspect restaurant to a tainted food you can be treated ASAP. Good Luck!

Hellooooo! No one should suffer. You must be a man. There could be a number of problems that require medical attention. My grandfather walked around with what he though was indigestion. It turned out to be angina (heart attack) .

You need to go to a doctor to find out WHY you are having this. A couple of things could be playing into this being over weight or stress. But one thing for sure your body is telling you something is not right and you need to listen to it and go to a doctor. Please call if not for you do it for your familyies sake..
