I have a DSL line now and have my Westell modem hooked up to a Linksys Broadband Wireless Modem, but I think I need to buy a wireless modem to use that will work specifically with cable. Is this correct?

I suspect you have your terminology wrong. You should have a telephone line coming into a DSL modem. You should then have an ethernet cable connecting that to a router. There is no reason to connect a modem to another modem.

If that's the case, and your linksys device is a router, then you don't need to do anything. Comcast will supply you with a cable modem to replace your DSL modem, and you will simply connect that to your router instead. Cable internet requires no special settings, unlike DSL, so you may have to just log into your router's web interface and reset everything to it's default settings.

My guess is you mean a linksys wireless router, like a wrt54g or something. That works with cable, but you'll have to re-install it. If you have no admin password and WEP the easy thing is to reset it (push the little recessed button in the back for 10 seconds or so) and put the CD back in and reinstall after you get cable.
