Absoutely not.First of all if your child has a party in the house and someone brings drugs or alcahol, and the cops become involved, you will be held responsible and face criminal charges, especially if someone gets into an accident. Second, as someone who went to many house parties when I was young, the houses always ended up trashed, sometimes costing the home owner thousands of dollars. Personally, I strongly recommend you don't let your teen have a party in your house

Yes, I would let them party at my house,I was an only child which gave me no brothers or sisters to play with So my parents let me have parties all the time. It made me pretty popular because we had a swimming pool and a rec-room with a pool table, and a big screen TV. I liked there openness to other kids coming over they always told me that at least they knew where i was..

i would and make them clean up the whole place in the end. Theyd learn more responsability while having fun at the same time! I'd try to come up with cool ideas for parties, too.

Sure. I have let both my teens have parties BUT we've chaperoned and there have been NO ALCOHOL and NO DRUGS. (I've noticed that when you curtail the drugs and alcohol, you don't have damage either.) Unfortunately, there are a lot of "TOXIC PARENTS" out there who pretty much have the "anything goes" mentality as long as it's at their house. Thanks to one such mom, a young teen died of alcohol poisoning here. I hope she goes to prison over it. I know she's being charged with manslaughter and other charges regarding providing alcohol to minors and contributing to deliquency and such. I know his parents intend on suing.

If by "party" you mean get drunk with her friends, then you are not going to be a very good parent. You can't let her do that.

tough call
i think i would as long as it was legal
if my teen wanted to do illegal stuff
she would have to go outside the house to do it
i would communicate my stand in the matter very clearly
that i was holding her accountable for being the greatest person she could be and that would include being alert clear and aware and responsible as i define it as her parent.
and i have no kids.

Oh enjoy it, and keep it from being out of control at the same time! Having sleepovers is a fun experience.
