Yes. We can do so much with Nuclear power that if we just learn to use it the correct way we could cut way back on the fossil fuels and improve the quality of the earth.

No, with the technology we have right now, man must develop a much safer means of harnessing power. My point is that if we had no other alternative, then the benefits would outweigh the dangers. But this is not the case right now.

No, for one simple reason, there´ll always be waste after energy is produced, and that waste must be kept afterwards insulated from the environment for virtually eternity, or else it might contaminate everything it gets in contact with. So, those precautionary "after" mesures are way to heavy for any nation to carry on reliably.
