I've got a 2nd interview tomorrow for a great job. I have got to make a 10 minute presentation on my career and what I would bring to the company. Any advice or where to look for advice?

1st, Presentations are great for "showing" what your potentials are as long as they are listed properly. Businesses use them to propose transactions.

2nd, a 10 minute presentation will only be about 4-6 slides using powerpoint, and you will want to keep it as short as possible. Make sure you have a header for each page and keep your bullets just that "bullets", short and precise.

3rd, make sure that you have the equipment availiable to use to be able to present your presentation i.e. laptop, viewer...if they don't have it then you need to bring it.

4th, Practice what you are going to say several times so that you don't "stumble" all over yourself. Be confident in yourself and the employer will have confidence in you.

Yes! Make sure you keep your presentation to exactly 10 minutes! Don't over do it!!

I did that once at an interview where I had to make a presentation. I got cut off. I didn't expect they would literally time it down to the minute. Plus, I thought if I did extra with lots if detail, it would impress them. It backfired!

Keep it simple and to the point.. Practice your presentation over and over in front of a friend until you have it down pat and it's consistently just under 10 minutes. I did that for my 4th year project at university and it worked! Bang on 15 minutes!

Be prepared, practice your presentation. Try to work out what is relevant in your past to the job you are appplying for.

They may just be judging you on your presentation skills and arenot worried about the content of your presentation. They must have reviewed this already to get to a second interview.

Good luck.

human beings hate to sit down down around in a ho-hum presentation...and if that is boring they gained't pay interest. the nice and comfortable button is to make it thrilling and relaxing. you're coaching the class and in spite of the actuality that that is on the subject of the educational technique, it is likewise approximately you! specific you opt to be arranged and have yout presentation all coated up. Get there early ( a plus) and verify each and every thing is working (computers, telephones, and so on) and able to circulate. Have any pupil workplace work waiting and interior sight the seating section. different than for the workplace work and presentation itself, the #a million difficulty you're able to do is smile. which will positioned your scholars comfortable right this moment. once you seem happy to be there, and happy to be working inclusive of your team, it already makes the presentation much extra thrilling. shop looking around your aim marketplace and connect with each and every person of them. people who can shop their aim marketplace do the superb each and each of how by way of. sturdy success!!!

Practice, practice and practice again
-Make sure you have eye contact with each individual in your audience
-Involve your audience where possible with tasks or helping, passes the presentation faster and helps you relax.
-Know your stuff, really know it
-Have a visual, flichart or something already prepared, bright and colourful, powerpoint etc can also be used, but I'd always stick to lo tech like a flip chart...and it also acts as a prompt, dont have cards or prompts in your hand
-Don't complicate things, keep it simple
