My son and i are fighting about daylight saveing time .I told him he will get one hour more to sleep and he no i will lose one hour so can you tell me who is right ? Mother in Missoui

Turn the clocks ahead, so you lose an hour.....sorry mom

He is correct.

The "rule" is: Spring Forward - or move the clocks ahead (you lose an hours sleep) and Fall back - or move the clocks back (you gain an hours sleep).

Well, technically he's sleeping by around 9pm and you push the clock
forward at midnight one hour, you have just lost 60 minutes.
The only way he would not loose that hour is if he sleeps during the day.

Give your son a pat on the back he is right. However with me the time change never affects me prob bc I get in bed at the same time and set my alarm for the same time.
