A minimum wage law is a politician's way of saying "Hey, vote for me, I got your wages raised"" but it really doesnt change a thing. If wages go up, so does the cost of living, plus the government collects more income taxes, etc.

£5.52 is an insult, which anyone who's had to live on it will know.

you'll never please everyone, its up to people to get themselves into a position where they can demand more of a salary.
