VGA is an old graphics resolution standard = 640 X 480 Pixels.

Right-click on your desktop and choose Properties. Then, click on the Settings TAB. You should see a box that allows you to change your monitor's resolution.

Try 1024 X 768 and choose more colors in the box to the right of it.

If you don't see options like this, you may need to get the latest drivers for your graphics card from the Manufacturer's website. Belarc Advisor should list your graphics card.
