They are cheap labour. They speak good English. They are professionals with degrees. They are extremely good with engineering and I.T.

Aside from having more Miss World & Miss Universe winners & runners-up, India has become an I.T. power. And because the labor is cheap, more American and European companies are hiring Indians to handle their I.T. matters.
