i plan on visiting my BF in san diego when he comes home from deployment...any good rates,or locations on hotels?

Do you have the name and phone number for the ombudsman for the ship? If so, give her a call as they will know which base the ship will be pulling into. It makes a difference in where to look for a reasonable hotel to suggest. If he's on a smaller ship, he will probably be at the 32nd street station, but it could be Coronodo where the carriers dock. There are some nice smaller hotels on Coronado, but they are more expensive than the ones in San Diego.

The second question is are you going to rent a car while you're here, and what else do you want to do during your visit? If you are going to be renting a car, then you have a lot more of the city to explore - and he probably wants to get away from the base for a while. you might look at the Super 8 San Diego Airport Seaworld -

It's clean, close to the airport and the least expensive of the Sea World/Airport/Old Town hotels.

I'd suggest looking at www.tripadvisor.com. They have great pictures and reviews of hotels as well as reviews of attractions in the area. They are also connected to expedia, which has more photos and hotel details. The websites include average prices. Good luck and have fun!

i liv in carlsbad cali u gotta go shopping there r so many malls and places omg u will have a blast!! hope ya hav fun!
