Which CPU is better for gaming pc?

petianm D or core 2 due (E6400 i will be using "GB DDR2 ram and 512MB ATI card which cpu will be better for this ?

By far the Core 2 duo.

Even though it is clocked at lower speeds, the advancements in the manufacturing process makes it much more efficient at processing information than the higher clocked Pentium D.
