I just went through this, my daughter is 6 months now. For the first four and a half months she would scream if she was on her belly. We tried everything, the best thing to do is to keep at it, but only a little bit at a time. Keep toys in front of her, try a boppy pillow under her chest, and when she cries roll her back over. She will soon realize that she can roll over, once she does, when she is done on her belly she will roll herself onto her back. Now my daughter won't stay on her back. The most important thing is to give her time, eventually she will get over it and love her tummy!

My son hated it too. Just keep trying. I started only able to put him on his tummy for max 3 minutes if that and slowly more & more. Lots of toys help, the Baby Einstein Discover & Play Activity Gym helped me.

Unfortunately, a lot of babies don't like tummy time. It's frustrating for them to try to look up at what's going on when their muscles aren't very strong. But they need to develop the strong muscles by laying on their tummies. Poor babies. I used to lay on the floor on my tummy too, facing the baby. Sometimes I'd sing to him, mostly just talk or play with his toys in front of his face. This also encourages him to reach out and try to scoot. Have fun with it and he will too. The frustration part passes quickly. Good luck.

My son hated it too. He did get lots of tummy time lying tummy to tummy with my husband and I. We'd sit in our couch or recliner and put him on our tummies. He's had awesome neck control since 4 months. We also carried him a lot in slings and such, that helps them develop strong necks and backs too. Maybe those could help too.

They all hate, just keep doing it. Do it for 2 minutes 5 times a day, then a few days later do it for 3 minutes at a time 5 times a day, so on and so forth.
I know it's like you are torturing your baby, but it good for thema nd it helps them become independent sooner so they can play better on their own.
