First I have the Stonewall link "Equality & Justice for Lesbian, Gay Men and Bisexuals" The very first line says, "There has never been a law preventing lesbian, gay or bisexual individuals from adopting children".
And the second link is a recent BBC story:
"Magistrate in Gay Adoption Defeat
Andrew McClintock said he was concerned about children's welfare -
A Christian magistrate who says he was forced to quit the bench because he does not agree with adoption by gay couples has lost a discrimination case."

i'm really not entirely sure, but i remember some programme on bbc where a gay couple successfully adopted a ten year old boy. but maybe all made up, better to do research.

Yes it is,my partner and I are going through the process now and are nearly finished.It doesn't matter if you are a gay couple or a single gay person.
