There's a talkshow on in Ireland at the moment - some people have phoned in to say they googled their mobile or home phone numbers, and found their personal details and other people's personal details on lists from various sources... names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses. Try it - if you get hits, report them straight away!

I Googled my number and it came up with my name and e-mail address, listed as first hit on Google. I'm not happy about it. Maybe that's why I get lots of junk e-mails advertising viagra. As if I needed it! Anyway, you say report it - so can you give me a contact number/address where I can complain? I would give you 10 points if I could for bringing up this subject. I didn't know! Thanx!

Nothing has come up but then I'm pay as you go. Nor with my home number. Perhaps more risk with a contract phone. Only details on internet about me are with the births, deaths and marriage records where I live but there's no personal details that's not common knowledge there. So I can sleep easy tonight!

I don't have a mobile, so just googled my home phone number. It didn't return any information on me, but strangely I got a list of shops on Queen Street, Edinburgh, which is fairly close to where I work.

Yep and it didn't come up.

One of my mate's put his number all over the net once because he only had one week left before it got disconnected. Within 24 hours he had approx 600 missed calls & his voicemail inbox was full haha.
