I have to say PELE. Here is why, the guy was an awesome player. His legacy still continues without too much drama. Don't get me wrong I admired Maradona, but where is the guy now?
Respect from the fans is earned. yeah they both are different but still...! Pele comes at top..!

Both were equally good. They r d best 2 world has ever produced. But I wud say Pele is a greater human being and hence a great role model.

not taking anything away from diego maradona (whom i consider to be the second best of all time), but, if you think that any player can even be mentioned alongside of pele, you're sadly mistaken. the things that he could do with that soccer ball were so legendary. he pioneered so many moves that it's really ridiculous to even compare him. start your comparisons for third best because the top two are etched in stone. the real debate is adu, ronaldinho, or beckham for that spot!
