If you are referring to Somalwar High School in Nagpur, Maharashtra, then here is what I found:

SOMALWAR HIGH SCHOOL, as it is known today, was called Somalwar Academy till the year 1947. This Academy came into existence in the year 1911. The founder, late Shri G.K. Alias Annasahib Somalwar, was a teacher in the Govt. Model High School, a practicing school attached to Spence Training College Jabalpur.

There is nothing to indicate that it is a jail. However, perhaps it is run strictly with students boarding there and seems like a jail or maybe it is just a regular school. I don't know for sure. I do know that it provides accelerated courses in English where students learn English as a second language much faster than most people learn it.

But isn't it the school from where half of the city has its merit students from? You will be out of it as soon as you take your last exam paper! Be prepared to enter another jail after that!
