fans of any team that is not going to the big square dance are disappointed (as a bruins fan i am used to disappointment) but i believe the oilers have a special right to be pissed, losing ryan smyth, the heart and soul of their team has to be extra salt in the wound especially as they were fighting for a playoff spot at the time of the trade.

Well I ,just like Duel-Moose am used to disappointment .I'm a Leaf fan ,and as you know we didn't make the playoffs last year so ,I would have to guess that Oiler fans are disappointed ,not necessarily mad.But the trade of Ryan Smyth would have made me MAD.He is an excellent player! And was a definite asset to the Oilers.

They're probably more frustrated than mad. After all, how many teams lose two of their best players in one year (between trading Smyth last month and trading Chris Pronger to my hometown Ducks and recover from that?
I'm sure that they will recover and next season make the playoffs.
I was a little disappointed myself, even, becasue I like to see the Ducks play the Oilers in the regular season and the playoffs.
Regards,
An Anaheim Ducks fan!

No, they're ecstatic that their team who was in the Stanley Cup Championship last year aren't gonna make the playoffs this year. I hear they're going to throw a tickertape parade in honor of their sub-par season. What kind of question is this?
