Why don't liberals understand?

Why don't liberals understand how infuriating they can be? Wasn't there a false attribution of a Winston Churchill quote that said "If you aren't liberal at 25 you have no heart, if you aren't conservative by the time you are 35 you have no brain? I agree with this quote! Also the common quote "A liberal is someone who is so openminded their brain fell out." How can we get through to them?

PS I don't support the war in Iraq, and I never did.

Kids are brainwashed into liberalism at about the college age. Thus, you see most of them hugging trees, protesting military action, etc when they really have no clue as to what they are doing.

Most of the ignorant liberals start to change and become more conservative once they get a job and start a family (and they realize then how stupid they were previously).

I don't think people understand!!! When they want to increase the life of many people, they turn to government!!!! The worst mistake one can make! You have to force humans into competitive markets. Politics are too easily corrupted and if you notice, the people who plead for more social government intervention are the same people who have never picked up a book on economics!!! The quality of government help is autorocious and at the same time the competitive free market has been known to build the best efficiencies ever created! The private sector builds and the government pulls down! I am not saying that people like Hillary are evil, I am just saying they are brainwashed into thinking that the government will be the end all solution to the worlds problems!!! This is not and never will be viable! Instead of people preaching government intervention they should be educating the children to be self responsible, helping them understand economic freedom, and also leading by example! If people stopped and researched the goods and bads of over subsidization, we would have no economic liberals! You cannot overpay for goods and services and expect more technological and medicinal advances! Socialism doesn't work and every nation that goes through this process has paid more dearly than those who have not! America is not on free market healthcare anymore! This is one of the reasons why 35% of people can't afford insurance! It's not that there is too little government, but that there is too much government already! This double headed snake has to be tackled at the root! The addition of branches just makes it strong reducing the hope and strength the people have! I truly believe and would die to make the world a better place. The funny thing is, we shouldn't have to die for it! Human nature builds the best worlds, fighting this nature is actually fighting human nature! As long as conservatives and liberals thirst for control of others, we will never be able to have the best lives! It is sad but true! Competitve markets, not high taxes and big government build the greatest nations, highest average life expectancy, lowest amounts of child labor, lowest unemployment, more goods and services, better efficiency, lower adult literacy rates, lower infant death rates, as well as the greatest growth of income per capita! The problem is nobody ever researches these things! They always look at a politician and do whatever they say should be done! There is a reason that America doesn't have France's debt and 10.2% unemployment rate. There are reasons why France and Sweden's healthcare are starting to decrease in services rendered! There are reasons why Cuba, Venezuela, Africa, and many other socialist type countries are beginning to decrease in almost every category addressed above! Without knowledge these people are left to opinions, bad opinions. When I reject a government intervention they look at me as a devil even though I know I am doing the best thing for the future of society! It is sad to know that people are so bad that we can't even count on government! Many European countries were very rich before becoming socialist and now they are being drained more and more everyday! The downfall of society is not because of greedy people in the private sector, it is because of uneducated voters that pick a side without research! This cycle of life will never stop and there is nothing the few educated people can do to stop it! World socialism is beginning and it will cause more deaths than communism's 100 million murders! The broken window fallacy is applied in almost every case in this example but many will disregard it! It is sad that so many people care, but that very few of those people understand the best way to help! Teach self reliability to your children, help them understand philanthropy! Help them understand why human nature needs to be placed into competitive markets and why governments destroy growth and prosperity, especially for the poor! Help them understand the truth and lies from the politicians words! It is sad but in todays world, many people do not understand how things just have to be! Heaven on earth is not attainable! Never will be! Economic freedom such as Hong Kong will be exactly what is needed to spread religion peacefully as well as giving the best lives possible to the most people! Why can't 'conservatives' understand that Winston Churchill (and more than half of America, and all the rest of humanity) woudn't regard the American brand of 'Neo-Conservatism' as anything close to what he had in mind?
I shudder to think of what Churchill would have said about Bush and his inconsistent policies!
And stop using the quote of one man as an excuse!

I'm a true moderate. I get annoyed by both liberals and conservatives. It's important to remember that both are necessary for a healthy democracy. Keep in mind that today's liberal ideas will be tomorrow's mainstream ideas. Conservatives at one point in American history were infuriated about demands to end slavery or giving women the right to vote. Today, they're infuriated about gay marriage. Let's have a healthy respect for both right-wing and left-wing political views. Despite attempts by CNN, Fox News, and talk radio to make politics entertaining, the democratic process is not a sporting event where we should cheer on sides.

Some have hardness of heart, some haven't heard (faith comes by hearing) God's Word. I once had a liberal professor that was SO liberal one student asked her if she had ANY normal friends. It was a rude, but truth full question. But God blessed me and used me (of all people) to share His Word with her and she listened! Sometimes, talking with liberals is like digging a tunnel with a spoon......takes a long time, but if we're persistant and kind (and showing God's love to these people is usually a challenge), God's Word doesn't come back void.

The trouble with extremists is that they blindly accept what their leaders say, and never, ever, admit they were wrong about anything.

So - when did you last disagree with Bush, and when did you last admit a political position you took was wrong?

There's a large plank in your eye - you need to remove it before you can see clearly and help your fellow Americans.

To understand liberals, you have to understand yourself. Why do you blindly support George Bush? It is because you love your country and you are afraid.

You are afraid of Osama. Bush has played upon your fear and your patriotism. He has used them to cull you into allowing him to perpetrate some of the worst crimes in human history and certainly in American history. He knows how you think. He knows how to make you afraid and he uses all of the psycological games and fixtures and propaganda. They have years and years of research to draw upon.

The fist thing to do is to overcome your fear. These terrorists are not going to come to America and blow you up. They are not that stupid. Sure they will perform an occasional act of murder, but it is not even a drop in the bucket. It serves to keep you afraid is all. Slap yourself in the face and get over your fear.

Only then will you be able to see George bush and the neocons for what they are. You will realize how you have been lied to. You will see how you have been manipulated. You will see how they have used your fear and your patriotism to advance their sinister agenda. It will all become crystal clear. And you won't like it..

Most liberals base their decisions on emotion rather than logic. Therefore, the only way to get through to them is to use emotion-based examples to guide them in the right direction.

The first thing you have to do is not invite emotional response. The problem I have with both extremists groups is that they are too emotionally invested in their opinions. The only way to achieve a reasonable compromise is to use rational argument to find common ground.

People have a right to thier own opinions and, in my humble opinion, you have quite an exaggerated opinion of your own importance if you think others should change thier opinions or views because they infuriate you. And who made it your responsiblity to get through to anyone. Are you God or the Messiah or something? If you truly believe in democracy then you believe that everyone has a right to believe what they want and to express it freely, even when what they believe is idiotic to you!

This idea that everyone has to agree with you and your fellow conservatives or shut up, is anything but democratic, dare I say it borders on the facist.
