I have been to several, those done in the traditional manner on the ground and those done from horseback.

Contrary to popular belief the bull really doesn't suffer much. All matches are timed and the bull must be killed within 27 minutes. The bandalarows stuck in the bulls shoulders are little more than bumble-bee stings to him. The bull once down is made sure of being dead by cutting its nerve stem just behind the brain.

In the so called "bloodless" bull fights, after the bull leaves the ring he is immediately killed out of the sight of the spectators. To return a ring wise bull to the ring would be extremely dangerous;for both the bull and the matadors.

The meat from the animal is donated to orphanages and the poor so nothing is left to waste.

If you research bull fighting on the internet you will learn much about it. It is actually considered an art form because everything is strictly controlled and must be done in a certain way. Points are awarded for a good performance. When done on horse back it is done with the Analushion, (not spelled correctly I know) horses. These horses sell for over $50,000 USD each. The world famous Liechtensteiner horses are bread from them.

Although I wouldn't want to go to a bull ring every Sunday afternoon, the occasional trip is enjoyable. Do not go to a bull fight unless you have done some research and know what is happening when it happens. Even what is played by the musicians is timed for the exact thing that is to occur.

I know many animal lovers out there may disagree with me and my answer, however until you know and understand the process you do not know how these bulls are bred just for this purpose, nor the process that is adhered to in the bull ring.

The Bull does not stand a chance at winning and personally having a pin stuck between my neck and back I would say is unpleasant.
