you cant train a goldfish, they have a memory of like 5 seconds!

give it a treat every time it does a trick. praise it alot and tell it its a good little fish.
fix hoops in the tank for it to practice swimming through. then when it has mastered that, raise the hoops so they are partly out of the water and the fish has to then jump.
just lots of general encouragement and patience on both sides.
mail me when its got its own show. will want to see the goldfish performing.

My advice: don't waste your time. I once saw an episode of Mythbusters that proves you can train goldfish, but they don't live very long and the aren't particularly smart.

Drop a wire in connected to a 9 volt battery + side and then a wire from the - side and watch the difference in their activity!

I trained mine to 'stand up' by dangling Bourbon Creams above their bowl, they go crazy for them !
