Try replacing x with numbers in this order 1.-1,2,-2,3,-3,... and see which number brings the equation to a zero. With that you now have a factor of the equation which is (x-C) with c being the number that satisfy the equation which is equal to zero. Then you divide the equation with (x-c) and you have a simplified version of the equation.Continue doing this until you factorized it completely. The equation, factorized,ca be solved in a breeze. This technique is applicable to equations of any degree provided that the solution is an integer and is not equal to "i".
