i wish to know what route the train takes from leeds to edinburgh, i am a nursery teacher and my topic for this month is trains and edinburgh

Why on earth has someone given the person above a thumbs down??????? He is absolutely correct, and his answer is very helpful!
Added info: Through services are operated by Virgin Cross Country Trains. They are diesels and generally originate in the west of England, running via Birmingham, Derby and Sheffield on their way to Leeds. The only bit of non-electrified track they use between Leeds and Edinburgh is Leeds to York.
